In the midst of the condition has not issued regulations on frequency LTE by Kemenkominfo, the operators in Indonesia has been testing LTE technology since 2010 in two frequencies, i.e. 1800 MHz and 2300 MHz.
2010 : LTE trial of Telkomsel-Huawei in Jakarta, Telkomsel-Ericsson in Medan and Telkomsel-NSN in Denpasar, used FDD LTE 1800 (10 MHz block range).
2010 : LTE trial of XL-Ericsson in Jakarta, used TDD LTE 2300 MHz.
2011 : LTE trial of Indosat-NSN in Surabaya and Denpasar, used FDD LTE 1800 MHz (20 MHz block range).
As for the trend globally, to March 2013, there were 66 mobile operators in Asia Pacific that have adopted LTE. The most widely used frequency is 2100 MHz, 700 MHz, 2600 MHz, and 1800 MHz.
Is there an idea about the frequency of LTE in Indonesia?
Hmm... I think we should follow the global trend of LTE in choosing the lte frequency in indonesia.... and TDD 700 MHz is the best choice.
